July 30, 2003

Dear Missouri College Republican Chapters and Chairman,

As many of you now know, Blake Moore, the Missouri Federation of College Republicans Chairman resigned his position on Wednesday, July 30. I was sworn in as the new State Chairman at 5:01 this afternoon. I undertake this responsibility with a heavy yet optimistic heart. Blake Moore has been a fantastic chairman and worked hard to see Missouri succeed. He will be sorely missed.

Nonetheless, this is a crucial time to look toward the future and recognize the many things that we can accomplish. A large focus, as always, will be placed on recruitment and expansion to new universities. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's ideas and input on this and many other topics.

Please check out our new M.F.C.R. web site at http://mo.collegerepublicans.org. It will provide you with new information and also provide an interface where comments, suggestions, and ideas can be submitted with relative ease.

I will be getting in touch with every chairman in the state very soon and am looking forward to talking to all of you. If you should need to contact me in the mean time, my telephone number is (816) 753-4580. Together I know that we can make Missouri, the bellwether state, into a Republican stronghold. Thank you for your time, and enjoy the rest of your summer.

Sincerely,

Gregory D. Porter
Chairman
Missouri Federation of College Republicans
